Would you like to go see some baby deer?

At the deer protection facility "Rokuen" located within Nara Park, you can see baby deer.
Every year, “The Nara Deer Preservation Foundation" protects pregnant female deer at Rokuen to ensure they can safely give birth.
The newborn baby deer and their mother are then open to the public.
If you visit Rokuen, you are sure to see the cute baby deer cuddling with their mothers.

Period: June 1 to July 14 (10:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
Fee: Free, but a donation of 100 yen per person is appreciated.
* The event may be canceled if it rains heavily.

However, not all pregnant female deer can be protected, so you may also see fawns in other locations.
In such cases, please do not approach them and watch them from a distance.
