Which are more numerous?

Nara Park is home to a lot of deer.
The number is about 1,200 to 1,300.
So, which do you think are more numerous, male or female deer?
About half and half?
No.
In fact, the ratio of adult male deer to female deer, excluding fawns, is about 3:7.
There are overwhelmingly more female deer.
Even so, when the mating season comes, male deer will fight each other to make the female deer their own.
Even though there are more females, it seems that finding a partner is not easy in the deer world.
