Setsubun
Setsubun is a traditional Japanese event.
Those who bring disaster are called "demons" and chased out of the house.
We eat auspicious foods to wish for health and happiness.
Recently, it has become a custom to eat “Ehomaki”.
Face the direction that is considered auspicious for that year, and bite into the rolled sushi without cutting it.
There is also a rule that you should not talk until you have finished eating.
This year's Setsubun is on February 2nd, and the direction to face is west-southwest.
Would you like to try “Ehomaki”?
