Located in Naramachi, Minami-ichi Ebisu Shrine is dedicated to the god of the market and was founded in the Kamakura period (1185-1333).
There used to be a market called Minami-ichi, and the shrine was worshipped as the guardian deity of the market.
The Hatsuebisu Festival on January 5 every year is crowded with people praying for prosperous business and family safety.
