Do not approach the fawn

In Nara Park, you may sometimes see small fawns sitting alone.
This is because mother deer may leave the fawn's side for several hours to eat.
If you see a fawn by itself, please do not approach or touch it.
This could cause the fawn to become separated from its mother while trying to escape or could lead to a traffic accident.
If the fawn becomes frightened and cries out loudly, it may also attract crows.
Furthermore, if it is touched and gets human scent, the mother deer may abandon it.
In any case, this could threaten the life of the fawn.
Please
keep an eye on the fawn from a distance.
