Deer with lost leg

Within the premises of Rokuen, there is an area where sick or injured deer are kept and cared for.
Among them are ones that lost their legs in car accidents.
Deer with lost legs have no chance to return to Nara Park. They might survive, but no freedom for the rest of their lives.
Drivers, please take extra caution and drive slowly around Nara Park.

Deer often have traffic accidents in Nara Park. In 2023, 62 deer were injured and 19 deer died in traffic accidents.
